After the customary wrangling and a good bit of give and take, we now have the finalised handicaps for May. The aggregates are 199 for the home team and 198 for the visitors – as close as they’ve ever been to each other. These are also the lowest aggregates we’ve ever seen, going sub-200 for the first time, not much more than a 16 average – reflecting just how many of these players are fighting back the years and improving their play as time goes on! There has been if anything a tad less grumbling than normal about these confirmed marks, so we can look forward to a good fair fight without recriminations and the team who plays best on the days will surely emerge the winner.
